ABSTRACT
This article reports on the seven deals tracked by "Electronic Education Report" in the K-12 technology market in the first half of 2004, compared with five deals in the first half of 2003. Overall, in 2003, EER tracked 17 acquisitions in the K-12 technology space. The top five 2003 deals that EER tracked totaled $742 million combined, down from $1.8 billion in 2002. Financial terms for the mergers completed in 2004 were not released, but the money changing hands appears to be significantly less than in last year's deals.
