This article focuses on E! entertainment television. E! will utilize the high profile event to showcase the star of its new series "Fashion Police." E! programmed six hours of countdown coverage to the Emmy Awards and resumed with post-show coverage. The Emmy pre-show is generally the top rated telecast for the quarter for the cable channel, drawing primarily family viewers among adults 18 to 34 and 18 to 19. E! has an exclusive deal for live coverage upto a half-hour before airtime of the awards program, when those rights revert to the network televising the show.
