ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the book "Sculpture of the Twentieth Century," by Andrew Carnduff Ritchie. The book is an optimistic publication in the most important sense because it suggests on every page that the sculpture of present times is alive and dynamic and that this life, and dynamism be capable of still further development. It is optimistic in another sense because: it must attempt to present so much in so narrow a space. The author has met the limits of space gracefully by calling his work an "anthology."
