ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the book "The Psychiatrist and the Law," by Winfred Overholser. This book makes a contribution to the difficult basic problem of the law, namely, the search for truth. Many lawyers won't like it for the simple reason that the leaders of the bar are emotionally set to resist change or adventure. This arises from the fact that by very definition a leader of the bar is usually a lawyer who represents the wealthier people in the community, who in turn have done so well under the existing mores that they naturally do not want to hazard any change.
