ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the book "Preview for Tomorrow. The Unfinished Business of Science," by Bruce Bliven. Scientific knowledge, in all fields from physics to psychiatry, is increasing at a rate unprecedented in human history. The book summarizes arguments for wiser use of natural resources, developments in obtaining energy from the atom and the sun, and advances in medical treatment and research. A particularly important section presents an account of spectacular achievements in methods of mass communication.
