ABSTRACT
The article presents information on several novels. The only of these novels that isn't worth much time from reader or reviewer is Carl J. Spinatelli's "The Florentine." It is described by its author as "a lusty, ribald, and somewhat bawdy tale," by its publisher as a book that brings "to vibrant life all the pageantry of this gorgeous epoch." James Weliard's "Night in Babylon," is a well-written pre-construction of what .might happen if the Russian armies were invited to liberate Europe in 1956.
