ABSTRACT
The article focuses on world politics and international relations. When the German unification talks at Geneva appeared to be deadlocked last week, American correspondents at the Foreign Ministers Conference reported that official American spokesmen at the, highest level had assured them there was genuine hope for success and that East-West positions were, significantly closer. The problem of making the world behave for the convenience of the American election campaign cannot have, escaped Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, once dubbed by a top Washington correspondent the most political Secretary of State in half a century.
