ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the leader Herbert Brownell. As Attorney General he emphasized the need not only for exposure but for successful prosecution of Communist agents whom the previous administration failed to send to jail. All the necessary evidence was in, Herbert Brownell's possession. Only the law and the Constitution stood in his way. In one of his few public coma merits following the Chicago speech, Brownell stressed that his revelations were pointed to the destruction of the ban on evidence gained by wiretapping and the protection afforded witnesses by the Fifth Amendment of the United States.
