ABSTRACT
The article reports that Altoona, Pennsylvania-based Sheetz Inc. is bringing convenience foodservice to a whole new level. The 300-store chain unveiled a new convenience restaurant concept in June in its headquarters city. Spanning three acres of land, the 10,000-square-foot site includes a full-line convenience store and gas station in addition to a 62-seat dining area and foodservice court. Some of the food items offered at the store include hand-tossed pizza baked on-site in a brick oven, paninis, slow-roasted roast beef, made-to-order subs, a gourmet salad station, a full-service Sheetz Bros. Coffeez Kspresso Bar and a homemade gelato bar.
