This article focuses on "Convenience Store News" periodical editors' dissatisfaction about services provided by convenience stores. A Quick Chek store in New Jersey left one editor less than satisfied when she stopped to purchase a cup of coffee. There were more than five different coffee pots brewed, but no indication as to what was decaffeinated or what flavors each pot contained. After studying the menu above the coffee, it was still unclear, and the menu seemed to have more choices than coffee pots. Another editor seeking dinner on the road was disappointed when she stopped at a 7-Eleven on Long Island, New York. The sandwiches were haphazardly and sloppily arranged in the open display, most were close to their sell-by date and time, and a few had even passed it.
