ABSTRACT
The article presents information on various new novels. Novel "The Navigator," is a short narrative of several weeks in the life of a French airman with the RAF. As the only survivor of one plane crash, he decides he likes life even more than he knew, so he refuses to fly with an unreliable pilot. Another novel "The Cleft in the Rock," by F.K. Franklin, is a story of an ex-GI who, with that unwanted feeling, signs up as a medic in a rough construction outfit which works on a wild and windy rock in the Aleutians.
