ABSTRACT
The article discusses the book "The Fifth Amendment Today," by Erwin N. Griswold. The book fortunately preserves three valuable speeches, which the author made in 1954, on the currently troublesome issues of freedom and security. They deal with the privilege against self-incrimination and the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment and with procedural abuses in some Congressional investigations, loyally proceedings, and criminal trials.
