ABSTRACT
This article reports that liquidated company--Uni 2000 (Pty) Ltd--has an interesting history, including a previous liquidation in 1994 and a compromise with creditors a year later. Uni 2000 was formerly known as Square One, a wholly owned subsidiary of Square One Investments, another company controlled by Coetser. The liquidation order was granted. However, about a year later attorney and liquidator Hans Kiopper proposed a scheme of arrangement with the company's creditors. It's interesting to compare the balance sheets at the time of the liquidation and at the time of the scheme of arrangement.
