ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the book "Richard Nixon: A Personal and Political Portrait," by Earl Mazo. When word got around last year that Earl Mazo was doing a book about U.S. Vice President Richard M. Nixon, Mazo's newspaper colleagues wondered why. Mazo gives the answer on the first page of this new book, saying, "For all his prominence and the millions, of words that have been written and spoken about him, surprisingly little is known about Richard Milhous Nixon." The book he has written is a reporter's work, not a pundit's analysis, it is the work of a fact-hungry newspaperman who likes to use his legs, talk to everybody concerned, and clean up on a story.
