ABSTRACT
This article reports that inventories of merchant wholesalers rose in July, climbing 1.3% to a record $313.8 billion, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce data released. Meanwhile, sales climbed 0.5% to a record $271.6 billion in July. The July figure followed June's revised 0.2% increase, originally reported as virtually unchanged.
