Before flying bloodsuckers, a Frank Wildhorn score, and decidedly mixed-to-negative reviews appeared on the Rialto's radar, the newly opened Broadway musical "Dracula" caused a stir when it was announced that Melissa Errico and Kelli O' Hara, who co-star opposite Tom Hewitt in the Des McAnuff-directed tuner, would appear nude in various scenes. Then, a few weeks before the production opened on Thursday, August 19, it was announced that a G-rated approach — no nudity, in other words — would be instituted at matinees in an effort to persuade family audiences to snap up ducats to the musical, based on Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic thriller. Nudity will be featured at every performance.
