Seeking to expand the reach of its Web authoring and publishing products, Macromedia has introduced a Web Publishing System based on Contribute 3, an upgrade to its Contribute product that is also being introduced this month. Contribute 3 features several noteworthy changes to the original design, including a new optional server component for managing users and tracking publishing activities. In addition, Contribute 3 improves FlashPaper, Macromedia's Flash-based format for conveying print-ready documents inside Web pages.
