ABSTRACT
Reports that New York's General Business Coalition Index plunged to 12.6 in August 2004 from a revised 35.8 in July, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Empire State Manufacturing Survey. Prediction of the index by economists polled by IFR BondData America; Assessment of the New York Federal Reserve Bank that the survey results indicate that the pace of business growth is moderating.
