ABSTRACT
This article presents information about the book "A Voyage to Arabia Felix (1708-1710)," by Jean de La Roque. This book describes two voyages made by merchants from the French port of St Malo between 1708 and 1713. Their destination was Mocha on the Red Sea coast of Yemen to purchase coffee, for which there was a growing European demand. These voyages heralded a new era in the exploration of Arabia.
