This article reports on the partnership formed by Verint Systems and JVC to deliver a fully integrated Internet protocol camera and video management solution. They will help customers migrate from existing legacy closed-circuit television systems to digital video security systems that combine Verint's video management solution and JVC's Internet protocol addressable digital cameras. Verint's Networked Video Security Solutions enable organisations to enhance the security of their facilities by networking video across many locations and applying advanced content analytics to extract actionable intelligence from the video sequences. By alerting security personnel to potential security threats, Verint's Networked Video Solution is designed to help organisations prevent security breaches and improve response time. Subject of the new arrangement is Verint's latest SmartSight solution that includes a 5 giga Hertz wireless link for a wide range of bandwidths compliant with local European wireless standards. At nodes there is local video capture and digital encoding with wireless or Internet protocol network delivery where required along with embedded actionable intelligence solutions for motion detection. It also uses a non-proprietary video management infrastructure to easily integrate with existing ones and traditional closed-circuit television systems for storage, management and analysis of video.
