ABSTRACT
The Directors Guild of America's committees and councils have started to formulate the demands that will guide negotiators in upcoming contract talks, guild President Michael Apted told members in the latest issue of DGA Magazine. Apted said the guild remains committed to early negotiations to help avoid the production disruptions that occurred during the tense Hollywood bargaining sessions of 2001. The DGA's agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers expires June 30, as does SAG's current contract.
