ABSTRACT
The U.S. represents such a large portion of the world-wide information technology (IT) spending environment that three U.S. states such as California, New York and Texas combine to nearly outspend Japan, the nation that ranks second behind the U.S. in IT spending. That little nugget comes from International Data Corp., which notes that, in addition to these very large states, other markets such as Oregon and North Carolina are strong markets for IT spending, and have a lower cost of doing business for IT vendors.
