ABSTRACT
Discusses a proposal of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the National Drinking Water Advisory Council of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) for the USEPA to develop a robust contaminant candidate list (CCL) process that identifies contaminants for potential regulation. Concerns raised by the AWWA regarding the draft of the second CCL; Critical path issues to be addressed by the USEPA within 2005 for the preparation of CCL3; Ways for USEPA to build an effective CCL process. INSET: FINAL CCL2 DUE LATER THIS YEAR.
