ABSTRACT
This article introduces the present issue of the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE). With the July issue comes the changing of the guard for JTPE co-editors. Bonnie Tjeerdsma Blankenship, of Purdue University, is moving into the senior co-editor role, and Melinda Solmon, from Louisiana State University, is taking over as junior co-editor. Both are respected teacher educators and scholars in sport pedagogy and will be outstanding at the helm of JTPE. The third study reported in this issue sought to validate the System for Observing Fitness Instruction Time for measuring high-school students' physical activity levels.
