ABSTRACT
The article focuses on consolidation and merger of corporations in the U.S. Textbook and commercial printer Von Hoffmann Corp. will become part of a new specialty and marketing company in a $2.2 billion deal, by buyout firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) and DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, an affiliate of Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. In the deal, KKR will acquire Von Hoffmann and Arcade Marketing Inc., which manufactures sampling products for a variety of business. Each of the companies will retain their own brand and management, according to KKR and DLJ.
