ABSTRACT
The article presents information about books that have been in New York Times bestseller list. Bill Clinton's memoir, "My Life," continues to be the title to beat in hardcover nonfiction, hitting number one on the August 1, 2004 in the list. "Eats, Shoots and Leaves," by Lynne Truss and "Alexander Hamilton," by Ron Chernow helped publishing house Penguin Group make second place in the bestseller list. Other titles with a political tone included the book "What's the Matter With Kansas?," an examination of Midwest conservatives by Thomas Frank.
