ABSTRACT
The book "Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terror," published by Brassey's Inc. has sold more copies than all other Brassey's books combined for the year 2004. The book was written by an anonymous U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst and marketed, in part, with the author appearing in silhouette on several news shows. Though the identity of CIA author was revealed by one newspaper prior to publication, the sales and enthusiasm for the book weren't affected. Christina Davidson, a spokesperson at Brassey's, said the book is performing much better than expected.
