Butlins to spend £19m on upgrade

Butlins is to invest 19 million pound this year to improve services across is three resorts and attract new holidaymakers. The spend includes 10 million pound on a 160-room seafront hotel for 640 guests in Bognor Regis. The holiday park operator claims the hotel, the first at a Butlins resort, will differ from existing apartments and also serve the corporate market. Details have not yet been released on the design of the hotel, due to open next year. It will give customers another choke and means we can offer more to the corporate market. Bognor already accommodates up to 5,000 holidaymakers in 1,500 apartments.
