For six years, delegates from Scott-Grant Training have been awarded Student of the Year by the Institute of Management Services (IMS). Of all the people who studied for the IMS Certificate with training providers in this country and abroad, the top marks were achieved by Paul Hickey from Waterford Crystal in Kilbarry, Eire. In 2003, Hickey, along with some of his colleagues, was nominated to attend the Scott-Grant course following the achievement of Liam Carmody, also from Waterford Crystal, as IMS Student of the Year in 2001. Another delegate, John Hale from the shopping channel QVC took third place in the 2004 results. John has found the topics covered on the course to be invaluable in his work as an Industrial Engineer in the warehouse logistics environment. The IMS Certificate is a significant part of the training program, which is designed to help people understand and appreciate the intricacies of productivity improvement at various levels. The whole range of the training program is focused on lean principles.
