ABSTRACT
Reports on the development of a non-contact method of the on-train technology that can be attached to a normal passenger or freight train traveling at high speeds to detect track defects. Use of electromagnetic acoustic transducers which generate and detect the low frequency and wide-band Rayleigh wave without touching the rail.
