Danny Strick has been named president of Sony/ATV Music Publishing U.S., said the company. Strick, most recently a senior A & R executive at Maverick Recordings, will oversee all of Sony/ATV Music Publishing's activities in the United States with the exception of Nashville, according to group chairman David Hockman. At Maverick, Strick signed Michelle Branch and also had a co-A&R credit on the most recent release from Alanis Morissette. Strick will be based in New York and report to Hockman. Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville will continue to be overseen by the division's current president and chief operating officer Donna Hilley.
