ABSTRACT
Nebulas Security Ltd. and Imperva Inc. have combined to launch their three-dimensional Web Application Risk Assessment Service. This solution enables organisations to understand the true risks surrounding their own web applications and is a combination of Web Application Penetration Testing Service from Nebulas and Imperva Incorporated's latest non-disruptive web application security solution, SecureSphere. The business benefits of the service include a web application risk assessment based on empirical evidence of vulnerabilities within the organisation's web applications and on empirical evidence of the real-world threat to the organisation's web applications. It continually learns the normal behaviour within a production environment and correlates anomalous behaviour over time to identify and protect against these attacks. Its architecture is completely free of implementation risks and so can be deployed straight into a production environment as part of the service without affecting network or application performance and availability. Incidentally, Imperva recently published a white paper demonstrating the feasibility of launching worms that attack custom web application software automatically.
