ABSTRACT
Due to the characteristics of computer graphics course, at present, its experimental teaching mostly stays in the stage of programming verification of related algorithms, the experimental results of designed and comprehensive experiments are very poor, and the teaching methods are out of practical application. In order to solve these problems, this paper constructed the experimental teaching platform of computer graphics for students in mining universities. Based on the proposed platform which contains two platform-provided experimental teaching subsystems, named "3D visualization of underground disease information "and" 3D visualization of stratum data", students can not only complete the replication experiments, but also can understand the designed and comprehensive experiments very well. This experimental teaching method integrates the basic theory of computer graphics with industrial application, and can greatly stimulate students ’ learning enthusiasm. The teaching practice show that the platform effectively enhances students’ abilities to combine theory with practice, and improves the teaching quality.
