First Citizens Bank speeds up workforce training with LMS

First Citizens Bank has adopted a learning management system in a bid to get its 6,000 employees up to speed on products much faster. The bank, which operates 337 branches in more than 200 cities and towns in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia, is using Pathlore's LMS system to deliver and report on training over its intranet. The bank hopes that it will increase sales by speeding up training on new products. They have increased the pace at which we can teach or train our workforce, says Robert Anderson, senior vice-president and manager of HR technology and development at First Citizens Bank. Without the LMS, it would have taken a year to get everyone through classroom courses, Anderson explains. The bank says that the LMS has also been extremely useful in analyzing how well its staff have understood what they have been taught.
