ABSTRACT
Replies to comments on the authors' article "Generation of powerful electron beams in a dense gas with a dielectric-barrier-discharge-based cathode". Comparison with the devices mentioned in the comment with the authors' device; Observation that most of the references mentioned in the comment are related to the so-called "ferro-electric" devices.

By using a cone attached to a capillary, electrons generated through a laser interaction were autoinjected and accelerated in a low-density wake field. The cone attached to the entrance of the capillary serves as an electron supplier. It increases the number of electrons from below the detection...

This work pursues investigations into the discharge with a cathode plasma in a cavity one wall of which is an insulating plate with a hole D in diameter (the cavity is 0.5 or 1.5 mm wide). This discharge is thoroughly analyzed in comparison with the high-voltage hollow-cathode discharge. Owing...

Planar capacitors, consisting of a thin (≈1 μm) ferroelectric film and a dielectric substrate, widely used at microwaves, are normally designed on the basis of the conformal mapping technique and the use of the traditional formula for electric field in the capacitor gap: E=U/s. U is...

The effect of adsorbed water on the signal of scanning nonlinear dielectric microscopy (SNDM) is reported. By measuring SNDM image variation under various measurement conditions and by computing the theoretical SNDM signal corresponding to these conditions, we verified that the adsorbed water...

Dielectric methods are used to study phase-transition broadening in a (1-x)NaNbO[sub 3]-xLiNbO[sub 3] system. It is observed that the lowest values correspond to regions of transition between implanted solid solutions and substitutional solid solutions with 0.05≤x≤0.07. It is shown...

Electron beam generation in atmospheric air discharge with a flat cathode has been experimentally studied. The discharge was excited by voltage pulses of negative polarity with an amplitude of 220 kV, a full width at half maximum of 2 ns, and a leading front width of 0.7 ns. The electron beam...
