ABSTRACT
Television networks have to run commercials during broadcast of automobile racing events to try to make up the outrageous rights fees they pay NASCAR. At the track, the article author listens to the TV commentators because they have spotters and producers who track the action. Well-heeled Nextel Cup teams may have as many as 20 different chassis in inventory, at least one for every track on the circuit, from short track to intermediate speedway to superspeedway to road course.
