ABSTRACT
The British MTM (Methods Time Measurement) Association has announced the results of yet another busy year, with examination and re-qualification courses showing a healthy situation. In addition, there were three requalification courses held, a feature the association feels promotes confidence in the use of registered and tested practitioners. The new Web site www.mtmuk.org is now up and running, thanks to Gordon Lawson, and members are invited to visit in order to keep up-to-date with the latest news from the association. Exciting new developments from the association include the development of software approved by the International MTM Directorate, for use in MTM systems and the possibility of offering SAM, a sequential 3rd level system that has had great success in Italy. The conference this year will be held in the Birmingham, England area on May 6, 2004, at Ramada Hotel, Penns Lane, B76 1LH, when the President of the International MTM Directorate (IMD) will address delegates on the opportunities of new IMD-approved software. Other technical papers will be presented. Costs are £50.00 per delegate. Chairman John Scott and the MTMA council look forward to seeing old and new friends at this event.
