ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a study related to polyps. Colonic polypectomy is associated with risk of bteeding and perforation. In selected patients, an alternative method of polypectomy that reduces this risk would be welcome. The study concludes that advantages related to the method described here are several, it is safe and the risk of bleeding and perforation are minimised as the ligated polyp sloughs off in a more natural way. The main disadvantage is that histology of the entire polyp is not available.
