ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a study that compares bipolar electrocoagulation with conventional monopolar hot biopsy forceps (MHBF) in the endoscopic treatment of diminutive rectal adenomas. The study aimed to assess whether a cold biopsy from a diminutive rectal adenoma followed by destruction with bipolar electrocoagulation using large probes and high power setting would be a safe and efficient alternative to conventional (MHBF). The data suggest that the use of cold biopsy followed by bipolar electrocoogulation using large probes and high power selling for destroying diminutive rectal odenoma is at least similarly effective and safe as MHBF.
