ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a study that explores endoscopic requirements of a cancer centre. The Endoscopic Unit at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, a teaching hospital in England, treated 6000 patients last year. The study aimed to describe the elective endoscopy requirements of a cancer centre. Cancer therapy is increasingly effective with improved cure rates and survival. Cancer centres increasingly require diagnostic, palliative, and therapeutic endoscopic support as part of the acute and follow up management of patients.
