ABSTRACT
Several new products which can be used by manufacturers in the mobile communications industry and are available in the market as of may 2004, are presented. Two power-saving modes, sleep and power down, have been added to the XE900SL10, a miniature 900-megahertz spread-spectrum transreceiver module of the Xecom company. Leveraging an advanced silicon germanium process, the Range Charger SE5120 power amplifier from the SiGe Semiconductor delivers higher levels of integration and performance, allowing designers to build third-generation cellular handsets with better signal quality and smaller form factors.
