New academy aims to tackle local skills gap

Fujitsu Siemens Computers BV has teamed up with Barnsley College in South Yorkshire, Great Britain to launch a Digital Skills Academy. The academy, which includes e-learning facilities, will provide IT training facilities for business and education users, while addressing the skills gap in the IT industry in the area. The project partners hope to collaborate on innovative business solutions for South Yorkshire's small and medium-sized businesses.
