ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the need of having good strategic preparations for competitive bidding in durable medical equipment (DME) industry. The author remarks that because of marker conditions, there will he considerable profit margin erosion before 2007. The author provides four recommendations for getting the business in shape for the competition. The author suggests to prepare to cover the entire competition area. For that one need be prepared, need to have an understanding of the expenditures for DME in the area.
