Pearson Forms Alliance With BBC To Create Children's Book Line

Penguin Group's London office has formed an alliance with British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) to create BBC Children's Books, an imprint that will publish between 60 and 80 titles a year. The imprint will produce titles based on popular children's characters including Teletubbies, Tweenies, Thimbles and Bob the Builder. BBC Worldwide Ltd. will transfer its existing children's books business to the new company, which will be co-owned by Penguin and BBC Worldwide.
