Cost Plus weighs benefits of booze

Reports that Cost Plus World Market is expecting to grow its 218-unit chain to 600 stores by 2011, with 100 of those sites to be alcohol free. Gains in merchandising and back-end productivity over the past two years, with the implementation of improved systems and the addition in mid-2002 of a 500,000-square-foot distribution center in Virginia.
