ABSTRACT
This article focuses on happening in State Street Corp., a prominent bank in the U.S. After deals that sharpened its focus on institutional rather than individual investors last year, State Street Corp.'s chief executive says he plans to expand by developing in new markets worldwide and cross-selling to customers acquired from Deutsche Bank. David A. Spina, the chairman and chief executive officer of the Boston banking giant, said State Street's increased exposure in Europe since completing the acquisition of Deutsche Bank's global securities services business gives it the opportunity to grow into new markets such as China, India, Brazil, and Russia.
