ABSTRACT
This article presents various studies related to airway pharmacology. Iimprovements in dry powder inhaler design have led to an increased interest in the component of the formulation which can affect the disposition, absorption, pharmacokinetic profile of aerosolized drug. It was the aim of the present study to investigate the influence of incorporating fine lactose into a formulation containing racemic salbutamol sulphate and coarse lactose on the resultant urine levels of racemic and salbutamol isomers after inhalation.
