Reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has added sunflower seed butter to the approved list of commodities for school foodservice programs and as an alternative to peanut butter, a product that can cause severe allergic reactions. Availability of irradiated commodity ground beef; Scope of the USDA purchase of frozen orange juice from concentrate for child nutrition and other domestic programs; Reason the agency will purchase dried red tart cherries.
