Star Systems Inc., the electronic funds transfer subsidiary of First Data Corp. of Denver, has developed a remote content management system for automated teller machines. The system is already running on nearly 200 merchant ATMs installed by PNC Financial Services Group Inc. of Pittsburgh, Star said this month. ATM drivers and owners can use the service to customize content and graphics on screens, install software upgrades or patches, distribute audio files, and reboot or shut down terminals, all from one location.
