ABSTRACT
The Texas Board of Education on May 7 will make a final decision on whether two earth science courses should be counted among the thee science courses that students must take to graduate. The two courses being considered are geology/meteorology/oceanography, known as GMO, and Advanced Placement Environmental Science. Adding them would expand students' choices of core science courses, which currently are chemistry, biology, physics, integrated physics/chemistry and Principles of Technology I.
